I Wish You Were Here

Roger Peterson entered the popular talentshow ‘Idols’ in 2002. When it was time to sign a contract along with nine other finalists, he refuses, because it would come in the way of his former band’s (Orange Grove) career. Without a signed contract it wasn’t possible for him to continue in ‘Idols’ but it did give him a lot of publicity and a contract for his new band, Intwine, that he founded with the former band members, except for one, of Orange Grove. The story of Intwine started in 2001 when the band was founded by members of the Rock Academy in Tilburg, Netherlands. In 2003 appeared the unnamed début album, following the single ‘Happy’. Both the press and the public gave the band positive criticism. At the end of 2004 they brought forth their second album ‘Perfect’. To show the title was chosen rightly, they won the 3FM Award for Best Album. Another highlight was the mind-blowing show Intwine gave in 2005 at Pinkpop. The band has a strong live reputation and so the time came for their third album. ‘Pyrric Victory’ hit the stores in October 2006 and the first single ‘Feel’ is the soundtrack of the popular movie from The Netherlands ‘Nachtrit’. This album received, yet again, good reviews so it gives the band every reason to keep playing their hearts out.
