Career

Park Hwayobi has released 6 regular albums and several specials. She performs mostly at live events, rarely at broadcast events.

Hwayobi won the grand prize on a local radio talent show on local radio whilein her second year of high school. That led Hwayobi to become a professional singer. Even before releasing her debut album, she contributed to other singer’s albums, like Park Hyo-shin's, and sang songs used in television dramas. She released her first official album, My All, in 2000

After she entered the Department of Popular Music at Dongdeok Women’s University, Hwayobi released her second album, including five of her own compositions.

In 2006, Park Hwayobi changed her stage name to simply Hwayobi. In October 2008, she changed her legal name from Park Mi Young to Park Leah for her volunteer work.

Hwayobi has appeared on television in variety shows. In 2006, she appeared on X-Man, becoming the Queen for the segment "Of Course (Dangyeonhaji)". In September 2008, she took part in the new variety show We Got Married (우리 결혼했어요), where she was paired with Hwanhee from the duo group Fly to the Sky.

She released a mini album "Summer" in August 2009.

Besides writing her own songs, Hwayobi penned an emotional lyrics for Younha’s single, “Broke up today/ 오늘 헤어졌어요”. An elegiac piano ballad that portrays the pain of parting. She also wrote the song First Kiss for male singer Ajoo. [edit] Relationship

Currently, Hwayobi is in a relationship with Sleepy, a member from duo rapper group Untouchable. Hwayobi first met Sleepy when she collaborated with the group Untouchable for their album, song entitled "It's Okay". Hwayobi and Sleepy announced their relationship after Hwayobi ended the variety show through their minihompi. Revealing only their intials at first, "I love you, L" which stands for Hwayobi new name Leah. Hwayobi in return wrote, "I love you, S". Finally, the relationship was made known to public when Hwayobi declared it.
