In early 2005, A Hero From A Thousand Paces hit the local South Jersey/Philly scene after self-recording their first EP. Instantly, attracting fans and creating a local buzz, especially with Mark Fray being the singer of now-defunct jersey band Riding Bikes. The band showcased a softer sounding pop/rock style. Mellow guitars, soothing bass, simple drums, creatively placed keyboards and being very vocally driven, Hero made a name for themselves by the summer of ‘05 by gaining a spot on Philadelphia’s “Hellfest” summer tour.
In mid-2006, Hero took some time off in conjunction with signing to Jersey label 1x1 Music (One Dead Three Wounded, Melissa Cross, The Divining.) Numerous line up changes followed through all anticipating their debut release “Mistakes.” On April 3, 2007 “Mistakes” was released in stores everywhere!
