Before the current crop of sound-a-like post-hardcore bands, Her Words Kill were already tearing up stages with their unique take on the emerging post-hardcore scene. Mixing the passion and intensity of metalcore with their own ear for melody and ambient, Her Words Kill formed in the Autumn of 2003 determined to sound like nothing else. Connors’ down and dirty style of vocals playing off against Luke’s angelic singing accompanied by a score of sick breakdowns, catchy riffs and haunting melodies, the band have gained a local reputation as THE band to watch.
However, since the band lost members they have struggled to recover and having seemingly finally overcome the losses with new members and practices under their belt the band decided to throw in the towel and have since broken up. Luke Pickett, the band’s co-vocalist and guitarist is continuing his work as a solo-artist and his since become even more popular than Her Words Kill were.
