Hear'say

Formation Of The Band The as yet unnamed band were formed as part of a nationwide British talent search. As an ITV television show "POPSTARS", starting in January 2001, set out to find 5 people to make up a pop group.

Each week we followed auditions around the country, then a selected 60 were taken to London, week after week we saw the numbers decrease to just 10 people.... then in a special episode the judges visited the 10 people at home and the nation was welcomed to the band... in reality, the band had been together since before Christmas 2000... hidden away from the British press.

The Band The chosen five members of the band were Noel Sullivan, Myleene Klass, Suzanne Shaw, Danny Foster and Kym Marsh.

Recently the band have been glad to become free from the "popstars bubble", which has meant being hidden inside for many months.

The Name Game Choosing a name was part of the bands first "big decision" - names suggested by the band after rejected Nigel's (Main Popstars Judge) suggestions included resolution, persona, silk, frenzy, classic, rival, life, alive and wireless. Eventually they chose "hearsay".

Kym Marsh quit the band in early 2002. They then did their own popstars style stint to find a new member. They found one and then came under a hail of bullits as it was revealed Johnny Shental used in another band that flopped "Boom!" and he is also dating Lisa Scott-Lee (Ex-Steps) So rumours were flying around saying that Hear'Say rigged the competition, and that they had no intetion of picking a normal person. Things went from bad to worse when they had to "put back the date" of their u.k. tour saying that Johnny was learning all the dance moves, in reality there fan base had vanished from under there feet, the public turned on them very quickly and they became the butt of a lot of jokes. Their last single 'lovin is easy' limped into the charts at number 6, then fell straight out the next week. Hear'Say finally called it a day in late 2002. much to the relief of most music buying public.
