The Hanover Saints is a Sacramento,Ca band back on the streets bringing a message with relevance and passion, much like many previous acts like The Business, Sham69, 4 Skins, Cockney Rejects, Agnostic Front, 7 Seconds amidst many others. The Hanover Saints have a spiritual aspect ,their love of God. Now before you go away or any further we want to establish a few things because you matter. We don’t stand for condemnation, hatred, legalism, stone throwing, or disrespect. We stand for salvation, truth, freedom, community, love, hard work, and standing up for what you believe and not being ashamed. This doesn’t mean shoving it down people’s throats! This world is hard enough to get by in believe me. We like to have a good time and make everyone know they are welcome. So if you made it this far this is how we started.
My name is Brian and I do the vocals and play guitar. I am 28 and I have been going to punk shows since the 80’s I have always loved punk I wasn’t always Christian and didn’t even know who Jesus was until I was 23.God is a judge of hearts not music. I was fortunate to tour with 7 seconds twice and this is how we began and I always loved their interaction with crowd pushing me to always want to play music. So this is how the story begins.
The Hanover Saints were formed out of the ashes of Anguish Unsaid in October 2001. Brian had these songs hidden on his four track for awhile until the official demise was concluded. Finding friend Wyman to play drums and went full force into this project recording a split cd on his own label before playing any shows. At this point word was getting around and facedown records was showing interest and a west coast tour with the deal went through in the winter of 2001-2002. Which we needed a bass player which brings in former Anguish Unsaid bass player Justin. After that tour the Hanover Saints signed with facedown records and will be recorded a full length in April and it was released in July . Shortly after we added Mark as second guitarist.
The Hanover Saints have already toured in support of the album "truth rings out" for 50 days across the United States on what was billed as the Facedown punk rock invasion with label mates One 21 and The Deal. Hanover also has played with such acts as South London’s oi legends The Business, Strife, Pressure Point, Hoods, Whiskey rebels, Hudson Falcons and many others. The band has played almost 90 shows in the 10 months and has put out a split cd and a full length cd and is on 2 compilations to date. This band is all about the community of friends and music. We stand united forever!!! The Hanover Saints.
