H Blockx

the first single "Risin´High" is released. The song becomes cult and is one of the most rotating songs in German clubs. Without a video-clip or beeing promoted in other ways it´s sold more than 10.000 times within a very short time. The idea of CROSSOVER comes up and even until today the H-Blockx are still the first to be mentioned when it´s tried to define CROSSOVER from today´s point of view.

TIME TO MOVE, the H-Blockx´s debut album is published. It containes three hit singles ("Risin´High", "Move" and "Little Girl"), was in the German charts for 62 weeks, reached gold-status and is sold over 750.000 times worldwide. The H-Blockx get the MTV-Award as LOCAL GERMAN HERO. The first tour is the proof for the H-Blockx beeing one of the best German live-acts.

The first big tour across Europe. For beeing the best national video of the year the VIVA-Comet is given for "Risin`High".

DISCOVER MY SOUL is released and enters the German charts on 7 within the top-ten-list. Also in Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland and Poland the chart-entry is no big deal. Jon Bon Jovi himself invites the band for support on his open-airs and with two more hit singles in their setlist ("How Do You Feel", "Step Back") the H-Blockx start their second tour across Europe.

Because of personal reasons and health-problems, Mason, the drummer leaves the band.

Marco Minnemann takes Mason´s part at the drums and the third album FLY EYES is published. Again the album can be regarded as a big step forward and an evolution of music and lyrics and the longplayer enters on 19 in the German charts. Both singles, "Fly" and "Take Me Home" have international status and easily find their way to the charts. With the Vans Warped Tour, the H-Blockx again travel Europe.

Marco Minnemann leaves the band and is replaced by Steffen Wilmking (THUMB). On their way to new shores, the H-Blockx write the whole soundtracks for the movie-hit BANG BOOM BANG!! and again prooves their flexibility and creativity. Beeing one of the acts of the US Vans Warped Tour is another highlight of the year where the band plays together with artists like Eminem, Ice-T and Suicidal Tendencies on more than 30 stages all around the country. With "Oh Hell Yeah" the H-Blockx write their part for the official World Wrestling Federation - Compilation Vol.4. The compilation reaches number 4 in the billboard-charts and is sold over 1.4 million times. With one of the most famous US wrestlers "Stone Cold" Steve Austin acting, the video-clip for the song is produced in Los Angeles. Afterwards, the H-Blockx again tour the USA for six weeks as the support-act for Biohazard.

"Ring Of Fire" is one of the years´ highlights and almost enters the German top ten. Even Johnny Cash himself likes the H-Blockx´s respectless cover-version of his famous song….but still, year 2000 doesn´t end too good for the band. Dave leaves the band surprisingly and from now on Henning has to do the shouting all by himself.

since march, the guys are busy in producing their fourth longlayer. With Boogieman and Moses Schneider the band works with their favourite producers and in Dog they found a new drummer. Back to the roots is the motto for the new album and we´re looking forward to listen to another fantastic piece of music!!
