Grave Digger

In March 1985 they released their second album that was called "Witch Hunter". In april Noise released a compilation with the bands that will touring in this year, It was called "Metal Attack Volume 1". In may they started a tour with Helloween and in agoust they had a hole concert transmited by the German TV. In January 1986 they released their third album that was called "War Games" and they started a tour with Helloween and Celtic Frost, but it was not the same success as the others, so the record decided to made an album more comercial , they hired an american producer and record "Stronger Than Ever" ( Chris Boltendahl (vocals), Uwe Lulis (guitar), Willi Lackmann (bass) and Albert Eckardt (drums)) under the name Digger, after this in 1987 the band has broke up. After this, Uwe Lulis and Chris Boltendahl wrote a lot of songs, this time they changed the name again into Hawai. But this time nobody wanted to sign Hawai. Then atfter 5 years they decided to start with Grave Digger again.

In 1991 they back and started to record a new demo called "Return Of The Reaper" ( Chris Boltendahl (vocals), Uwe Lulis (guitar), Thomas Göttlich (bass) and Jörg Michael (drums)).In 1992 noise Released a Grave Digger's compilation called The Best of the Eighties. In 1993 they sign with G.U.N. Records and in the same year they released "The Reaper" and still this year they released an EP called "Symphony of Death". In 1994 they played with Manowar on a German Tour in Berlin and Cologne. In 1995 they released "Heart of Darkness" ( Chris Boltendahl (vocals), Uwe Lulis (guitar), Thomas Göttlich (bass) and Frank Ullrich (drums)), one of their best albums . In September 1996 they released "Tunes of War" ( Chris Boltendahl (vocals), Uwe Lulis (guitar), Thomas Göttlich (bass) and Stefan Arnold (drums)), this album became a great success around the world, it gave their a chance to made their first South American Tour. To support the tour they released an EP called "The Dark of The Sun". In 1998 they released "Knights of the Cross" ( Chris Boltendahl (vocals), Uwe Lulis (guitar), Jens Becker (bass) and Stefan Arnold (drums)), that continue the sucess of the antecessor album . In september 1999 they released "Excalibur" ( Chris Boltendahl (vocals), Uwe Lulis (guitar), Jens Becker (bass) and Stefan Arnold (drums)). This album came receiving only good reviews from the most important magazines and E-Zines around the world and it's the last from the conceptual albums trilogy. In the end of 2000 the guitar Uwe Lulis has left the band and Mani Schmidt (Ex-Rage) was the new guitar. Nowadays the band is writing new songs for the next album and made some shows.
