Glideascope

Glideascope is a British composer, producer and musician based in London.

With heavy use of cinematic undertones, downtempo beats and the emotive use of orchestral strings, Glideascope likes to term his music a soundtrack to a movie never made.

November 2003 witnessed the debut release from Glideascope entitled ‘With Strings Attached’ released by Independent label Akara Music. This EP was licensed by MTV for their U.S. based documentary ‘’MADE’‘.

The critically acclaimed debut album entitled ‘Audio Cinematography’, was recorded over a two year period and released in November 2006. It displays emotive electronica, live orchestral strings and world music landscapes whilst plunging into the depth-charged dub reggae of old and was nominated by Radio 1 DJ, Gilles Peterson as one of the Top 70 albums of 2006.

The first single from the album, Big Big Disgrace, featuring the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and vocals by Junior Ruff, was released in September 2006 with remixes by Daz-I-Kue (Bugz In Da Attic), DJ Parker and Mafia & Fluxy.

Glideascope: an eclectic mix of the contemporary with a fusion of acoustic instrumentation and subtle glimpses of vocal arrangements spanning the globe. The aim is to provide a chill-out experience projecting musical images with delicate soundscapes.
