Gérard Blanc was born on December 8, 1947. His parents listened to music, but he discovered rock'n'roll in the early 60's. He got a guitar, offered by his uncle & played his favourite artists : The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Ray Charles... Music became Gérard's passion, he bought a guitar & founded his first band, Wingdings. After a tour, a trip to Africa & the band's split, Gérard formed a new band & signed to a record company : the 70's band Martin Circus was created. The band split in the 80's & Gérard composed songs for Stéphanie de Monaco's debut album. In summer 1987, "Une Autre Histoire" was his biggest hit. After that, Gérard played in films, composed & went on tour. On January 24, 2009, he died of a brain haemorrhage at 61 years old, it was the end of the beautiful story.
