FUNKDOOBIEST

The coming together of friends Jason Vasquez, Ralph Medrano, and Tyrone Pachenco, who adopted the stage names Son Doobie, DJ Ralph M, and Tomahawk Funk, respectively, came together in Los Angeles in 1992. Known for their drugged-up, pimped-out, beats, the group was an undergroud hit for most of their career, churning out a series of well-received singles and generating buzz wherever they went. Their debut album, Which Doobie U B?, was released in 1993 and put the group on the map. Two albums would follow, with their latest in 1998. Now seven years out of the spotlight, rumors of various solo projects and reuinions abound, but nothing concrete has been heard yet.
