1978: Freya is born on 17 November in Tønder, Denmark
1979-95: She grows up in and goes to school in Møgeltønder, Tanzania and Kenya
1995: Wins a talent competition in the magazine Se&Hør (May)
1997: Gets a recording contract
1998: Records her first album Tea With The Queen (Feb.-Dec,) Gives her first concert in Copenhagen as opening act for Heather Nova (Nov.) Huge radio hit with Mr Opposite (from the movie Under Overfladen). (Nov.-Dec.)
1999: Tea With The Queen is released 1 March. Radio hits with Yellow Ladybird (Feb.- March) and It's Already Wednesday (April). Gives 70-75 concerts in Denmark (April-Sept.) Begins the recording of Chasing My Tale (Oct.) Radio hit with Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah (from the movie MAX) (Nov.-Dec.)
2000: Freya receives three Danish Grammy-nominations in the categories Female Singer of the Year, Rock Release of the Year and New Act of the Year (Feb.)
Completes her work on Chasing My Tale (April) The single Girlfriend Application is released in April Chasing My Tale is released 24 May.
