Fonseca

Born in Bogotá, 26 years ago, Fonseca sparked an interest in music at a ripe age. At age 12, he orchestrated his first project, a composition of his own which he transformed into 500 CD's that were sold amongst his closest family and friends. And so he began to live the dream he had in mind since he was 5 years old. His parents' support was never absent in his endeavor to become an artist. FONSECA enrolled in various educational institutions, such as the Javeriana University in Bogotá and Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he acquired different skills that would later allow him to succeed in the vastly competitive artist world.

His self titled debut album FONSECA was released in 2002 amazing audiences around his native country. FONSECA was a combination of joyful and energic rhythms, with inspiring lyrics that positioned him as one of the local young talent with greatest potencial in Colombia.

His first hit singles Noche de Carnaval (Carnival Night), Sueño (Dream), Confiésame (Confess to me) y Magangue quickly rose in the local radio charts. Thousands of people danced to his songs in the most popular clubs in the country, as they enjoyed the musical quality of this new artist. The success of this admired artist was magnified by contracts, tours and concerts including performing with Shakira in Barranquilla during her Mongoose Tour, as well as Juanes in the Campin Stadium in the capital city of Bogotá. Alter releasing the first album, and being recognized as an "artist to watch", FONSECA launched his second project titled CORAZON. Having worked with the highest recording and producing standards, CORAZON has become a great challenge given that his creative guidelines are much riskier and surprising. The recording process of CORAZON included several trips to the musical city of Valledupar in Colombia, where he joined efforts with renowned musicians of the region in order to consolidate the musical background of his songs that would have a major ingredient in the Vallenato rhythms. The process begun on late 2004, produced by the Colombian Grammy Award Winner BERNARDO OSSA, who has worked with the most representative latin stars of the past years.
