Fireflight

Combining thick catchy hooks and intense rhythms along with passionate melodic vocals, Fireflight proves to be one of the most watched bands of 2005. Hailing from an emerging rock scene in Orlando, Florida, Fireflight has shared the stage with national artists since their inception in early 2000. Some of those artists include Anberlin, Skillet, Kutless, Disciple, Kids In The Way and countless others. From these opportunities they’ve earned the respect of bands across the country and have gained attention from labels and agencies industry wide.

Captivating every crowd they play for, Dawn Futch (vocals), Justin Cox (guitar, bgv), Glenn Drennen (guitar), Wendy Drennen (bass) and Phee Shorb (drums) truly want the audience to leave wanting to know more about their music. “We want people to just be blown away by what just happened,” explains guitarist Justin Cox, “We want them to be touched, and to be so excited about it that they want to tell everyone. Simply put we want our music to move, to inspire, and to challenge.” It’s that sentiment that has led to a strong fan base in the southeastern part of the U.S. and now abroad.

At the end of 2004, Fireflight decided to sign to Night Vision Artist Management, a premier management agency in the Christian industry representing Kids In The Way, Paul Wright, Everyday Sunday and Staple. “Rarely does a band this well rounded come along,” shares Mo Thieman (manager). “I think Fireflight has the potential to strongly influence the industry with their strong live show and amazing songwriting in a way that hasn’t been seen in years.” Since signing on with NVAM, the band has begun talks with several labels and hope to land a deal by Spring ’05.

It’s no secret that Fireflight is on its way to an amazing career. Stages and towns all across America and Internationally will soon know the sincerity that comes from their music and intense live performance.
