Fall River formed in early 2003 after the break-up of their first project, Manhunt . Since 3 of its 4 members were already a solidified writing team of 5+ years, they began working on material and playing shows almost immediately. The goal was clear: to take the musicianship and lessons learned from their last project and continue forward. In just the relatively short time they’ve been together, they have released a 3-song demo that has sold over 2,000 copies, toured the Midwest, South, and East Coast, and made a name for themselves across most the US.
Blending disjointed rhythms with quick time changes and one-noter grooves, Fall River has created a unique and intense sound: Think hardcore meets rock ‘n’ roll, with vocals that rival some of the most brutal in the scene. Fall River isn’t about taking the rock and roll image too seriously; their captivating live show is just as much fun as it is passionate.
In January 2004 Fall River released their much anticipated EP “2448724” on Teishu Records (CT), which is already sold out of its 1,000 copy pressing. Due to high sales of their two CDs, Emerald Moon Records (NJ) decided to combine their original demo and “2448724” into one release. The new CD, Chronicles, is remastered with all new artwork and a bonus unreleased track. It hit the streets on March 11th, 2005 and is distributed through Smartpunk as well as several area stores. To help promote the release, they have kept up a hectic schedule of weekend mini-tours, while still finding time to write material for a full-length. They have recently recorded 6 new songs as demos for the upcoming full length, which are much stronger than any of their previous work. With the energy, determination, and skill they display, one thing is sure: Fall River is committed to impressing their current fans and earning the respect of new fans with each show they play.
