After having played over 200 shows over the last two years, Face Tomorrow can undoubtedly be called Holland's most succesful emo/indiecore/post-hardcore band. With appearances at some of Europe's biggest festivals like Lowlands, Noorderslag, Paaspop, European Hardcore Party, Metropolis, Groezrock and Bevrijdingsfestival they've built up an impressive reputation as a great intense live-act. And although comparisons range from bands such as At The Drive-In and Thursday to Radiohead or even Muse, they've proven to have a unique musical approach, bound to soon make them the basis for comparisons!
In the current line-up FACE TOMORROW started playing shows in October 2000. Besides playing the Netherlands and Belgium on a steady basis, the band toured Germany, France and the Czech Republic and released a four song MCD in March 2001 entitled 'Live the Dream'. This self-released record was sold out (1000 copies) within a few months and got raving reviews in the mainstream as well as underground media. In November 2001 the band won the audience award at the GPNL, the biggest and most prestigious competition for newcoming bands in the Netherlands and released the 3-song CDep "Worth The Wait" which was also sold out within a few months.
The release of their debut-CD For Who You Are in june 2002 on Reflections Records proved they're on the cutting edge of emotion, intensity, passion, power and melody. Reactions have been great, reviews are raving, they've been on the cover of several magazines, were picked to get an Essent Award and apppeared at Jan Douwe Kroeske's 2 Meter Sessies.
Also outside of the Netherlands they’ve been making quite some name for themselves, the band was asked to go to England to do a week-long tour opening up for American band AFI in february 2003. (Playing the NME Carling Award shows in a sold-out London Astoria, amongst others) and in April 2003 they did a succesful European tour visiting 10 countries in 28 days! Furthermore the band released a video for the song 'Worth the Wait' which got airplay all over Europe. (The clip was chosen to be ROCK ALERT at Dutch Channel 'The Box' for instance and entered the Rock Chart at #1)
Be sure not to miss out on this!
