Surrounded by flowers, trees and cows Eva K. Anderson spent most of her early childhood years safe with her grandparents on their mountain pastures.
In contrast to that, kindergarten and school were very challenging. Eva was faced with surroundings of authority and strict rules, which she found very difficult to adjust to. As often as possible the girl took refuge in her world of phantasy and music.
She sang, played the flute, guitar and later on the saxophone and the piano and performed quite a number of concerts with various groups and bands.
After having graduated from high-school Eva K. Anderson decided to study commerce at the WU-Wien, the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and received an MBA in 2002.
During her studies, Eva started taking singing lessons and was a member of the gospel band Gospel & More for some years. In 2001 she got to know producer and guitarist Harald Hanisch who shared her passion for pop music and philosophy. Eva and Harald set up a band project named “Eva Adam” and started writing songs together.
One of the first songs written by Anderson/Hanisch was “Gone Digging” commonly known as “Ich Lebe” (German for “I’m alive”), sung by Christina Stürmer, Austria’s most successful pop star in recent years. The German version of the song remained the number one hit of the Austrian Billboard Charts for nine weeks. In spring 2005 the single went up to number four in the German Billboard Charts within three weeks and sold over 150.000 copies. For “Ich Lebe” Eva K. Anderson received multiple platinum and gold awards.
In 2006 Eva K. Anderson released “God Is Singing”, her debut album as singer/songwriter with “Eva Adam”.
In 2007 “Elfenherz” (German for “heart of a fairy”) - the music-ebook, Anderson co-wrote with Harald Hanisch and Leopold Zillinger was released with online publisher www.kmu-forum.net. The ebook contains the songs of “God Is Singing” as well as an enchanting fairy tale about incredibly wise fairy-grandpa Sibelius and his lively granddaughter Sara.
Eva K. Anderson decided to continue her artistic career as a solo artist and released her album “Fortune Teller” in spring 2009. Her debut single “Fortune Teller” hit the Top 10 of the Austrian Billboard Charts and stayed there for five weeks in a row.
