Eucharist was a Swedish death metal band that formed in the little town of Veddige in 1989. In 1992 they recorded a demo which was very well received by the underground, soon followed by a 7" release on Obscure Plasma (later to become Avantgarde Music) and they also recorded a song called "The View" for a Peaceville compilation album. Soon after that they split up for the first time to reunite once again for the recordings of their debut album "A Velvet Creation" in 1993. In 1994 they split up again. Meanwhile the band members started playing in other bands. In 1996 the band was reformed once again and recorded a new album for WAR Music before putting the band to rest forever.
