In March 1995 Aksu Hanttu (drums), T-I Mikkola (guitar, at the time also vocals) and T.Taipale (bass) started to play together. The name and music style was different. At that time they played U.S.death metal.
Step by step they started to get bored to that kind of music and their music became lighter and more melodic. All progress from U.S. death metal happened inch-by-inch and finally about two years ago they found their style. But then they needed a new singer, another guitarist and a keyboard player. A new singer / 2nd guitarist P.Willman joined the band in autumn 1997. In December 1997 they made their first recording by the name Entwine. The tape includes four tracks of atmospheric metal and was named "Divine Infinity". The feedback was very appreciative and in underground Entwine became known. In February 1998 Riitta Heikkonen came to the keyboards and they could start live appearances.
In September 1999 the debut album "The treasures within hearts" was released, and the feedback around the world was very good. Willman left the band in April 2000 and at the same time Entwine decided to change the bass player to a new one. New singer Mika Tauriainen and new bassist Joni Miettinen joined the band in May 2000. After three month of reharse Entwine went into the studio and recorded new album "Gone".
