On their latest release, tamborea, Energipsy infuse traditional gypsy rumba with elements of everything from flamenco and world music to blues, soul, pop and jazz. By throwing in things like Hawaiin sounding guitars on "Magdalena" and the dance-beat drive on "Vale" the result is a diverse and refreshing collection of largely acoustic-based tunes that are at times laid-back and beautiful, lively and upbeat at others, and always an enjoyable listen.
