Background: 2006 was the year when Erik Segerstedt went from ushers at Uddevalla Hospital to one of Sweden's hottest artists. His introduction of Idol was a little shaky, and it took a while before he was able to convince the jury, but he went home with television viewers and managed to get to the final against Markus Fagervall. He didn't went all the way, but with a honored second place, it became the starting gun on a career as a soloartist. In January 2007 was released his debutsingle "I can't say I'm sorry", which topped the list, and sold the gold and a month later he released his debutalbum "A Different Shade," which also became a listed and resulted in a golddisc.

For Mattias Andréasson, it was clear already at an early age that it was the music he would devote itself to. Schooltime was marked completely from the music and after harrow around a bit on the job as ice-creamdriver and truckdriver after high school Mattias wanted to go for the music again and joined the Royal College of Music in Stockholm in 2006. He completed one of the four years before he decided to make a stopover in the studies and work with the music and write and produce their own material. 2007 he took the step and searched for Idol, where he quickly became a favorite among the female audience and ended in a honored 5th position.

2006 was also the year when the Swedish people got their eyes open for Danny Saucedo. With an upbringing in which the music is constantly flowed into the house and an education at the Adolf Fredriks Music Schools, Small Academy and Southern Latin music has gone as a red thread throughout his life. In spring 2006 Danny thought it was time to search for Idol. He quickly became a jury - and publicfavorite but stopped to everyone's great surprise, in a 6th position. It would not take long until we got to see him again, and in February 2007 Danny released his first single "Tokyo". The single became a megahit, sold platinum and topped long sales and the radiolists. Even follower "Play it for the girls' and 'If Only You" feat Therese was a success as well as his debutalbum "Heart.Beats."
