Edurne

Edurne García Almagro was born on December 22, 1985 in Madrid, Spain. A music fan, she loved karaoke with her parents & her friends. At 12, she was part of the band Trastos. In 2005, Edurne participated to "Operación Triunfo" fourth season, covering Kylie Minogue's "In Your Eyes" & Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made For Walking". She didn't win but she was the sixth finalist, then she signed to Sony BMG. In 2006, Edurne released her self-titled debut album, N°3 in Spain with more than 40,000 copies sold, it became gold disc. Her first single "Despierta" entered N°5 in Spanish charts. During summer 2006, her single "Amores Dormidos" came out & Edurne recorded the theme song for the TV series "Yo Soy Bea". In 2007, her second album Ilusión came out, the first single "Ven Por Mí" was a Spanish adaptation of Sita's "Come With Me". She hosted TV shows, "Baila Con Edurne" & "Edurne Y Sus Bichos". The second single from her album was "Fue Para Los Dos". On June 4, 2008, her third album Première came out, including songs from musicals & films. The first single, "Un Poco De Amor", was a Spanish adaptation of Queen's "Somebody To Love". The following singles were "Sigo Enamorada De Ti" & "Tú Serás Para Mí". In January 2009, Edurne joined the cast of the musical "Grease".
