Texan (by way of New York) Edith Frost is one of the more talented members of the local (well actually she's national I guess) country/folk scene. Though she's been known to play with a number of members of the whole Bloodshot Records and Sugarfree Records mob (Jon Langford and the Waco Brothers, Chris Mills et al.) her music combines an introspective and pretty side (though not in a sissy way), with a more thoughtful bent. Her second album, Telescopic on Drag City Records (1998), was produced by Neil Hagerty & Jennifer Herrema of Royal Trux.
