Dying Breed might be new to you but they’ve been rockin’ the Tidewater, Virginia music scene since the early 90’s. For over ten years their musical collaborations have withstood the always changing music scene with an unbreakable bond. Their music has already earned various accolades, honors, local and national awards and recognition from Jim B.E.A.M. Band Grant, Route One South Musical Conference, and endorsed by Halo Guitars. Matt’s vocals can even be heard on a song for NASA’s educational program. In late December 2006, bassist Jason Clark reunited with his old band mates- Matt Barfield on vocals, Sean Wade on guitar, and Chris Price on drums, headed down to Atlanta, GA to record with producers Paul Cobb and Todd Washburn for 460 Records. Early takes revealed their passion, energy, and tenacity in their music. In July Dying Breed was at work shooting the video for their first single release “Without You”. The song features their signature aggressive hard drivin’, never give up groove, accented by melodic vocals and monster power guitars. Their debut CD “Dying Breed” is gaining the band national attention. Dying Breed has had the honor of sharing the stage with acts, such as, L.A. Guns, Bullet Boys, George Lynch, Pat Travers, Revery, Agents of the Sun, NonPoint, Stuck MoJo, Beaten Back To Pure, Temple Of Brutality, The All Knowing, and Fozzy. Dying Breed was also chosen to perform at Rockfest 2007 in Cadott,WI this past July with 20 other National acts including Kiss, Hinder, and Godsmack.
