Don't Drown Amsterdam

Whats up with kids these days? For awhile, our band was called Myst of Despair, and when voting on Buttonkid.com starts, we'll be listed as that. However, we decided to go with a new name, a new identity, and a new personality. So, let's go to the begining. In 2004, two kids got together and formed Projekt: Akustik. Those two kids happened to be David Rabidue and Trevor Schmidt. They knew from the start that they both had talent, but they also knew that this band wasn't going to go far. So, along with this, they thought they hopped onto another band (which was co-named P-Unit). Everything was going great, until P-Unit was mistakingly placed on a show for the Oriental theatre. Thats when the band kicked Trevor and David out. Not to be left out in the dust, they decided to form a new band, a much different one than that has ever been heard before. So, they accuired the services of Joshua Langston, picked up a couple guitars, and became known as the acoustic/goth/punk band, Myst of Despair. During this time, the lead singer (trevor) wrote a song based on a comment he heard in one of his classes. The song was a plea to terrorists, and it was called "Don't Drown Amsterdam. Enter the new crew. Around this time, Myst of Despair began looking for a drummer and bassist, changed their sound to hardcore, and began to practice. However, a little girl by the name of Hannah Harris just couldn't leave well enough alone, and brought up the song. That's right, that song. Don't Drown Amsterdam. After a group discussion, some caffiene, and a lot of contridictory statements, the band agreed that, after the January seventh show at the oriental theatre(The same venue that cause Tre and Dave problems before), they were to be known as Don't Drown Amsterdam. That's our story, and we're sticking to it....unless we change our name again.
