LOST IN TWILIGHT was formed in 1994 by drummer Janne Hänninen, keyboardist Jarno Hänninen and guitarist Jarno Laakso. In 1997 Sami Inkiläinen joined the band as a second guitarist and in July 1998 LOST IN TWILIGHT decided to record it's first self-financed album "Descending Mist", which was completely instrumental.

In April 1999 Jyri Adore joined the band as a vocalist, and this was time to record some new material. This first Demo with vocals entitled "Forever Autumn" was released in October 1999 and it topped the Metal charts at mp3.com, where LOST IN TWILIGHT was also chosen as the most popular artist of 1999 in the whole metal genre.

LOST IN TWILIGHT has always been trying to find some new ways of expressing itself, the keywords could to be epic and fast yet melodic, melancholic and symphonic work out fine when trying to describe the music. The band is influenced by many modern Metal bands from Melodic Gothic Black Metal to Orchestral Progressive Metal and even the guys have a quite different musical taste and musical background. This can also be heard, as the composing is quite a democratic (and very nerve wrecking) process. A Symphonic Gothic Metal band but which is free in ideas by adding Progressive and Doom elements on epic melodies with an orchestral touch and of course, featuring a talented vocalist which does a powerful yet clean vocal.

Now LOST IN TWILIGHT release it's newest material, the "Planeteer" MCD on Sound Riot. This material contains 4 new songs and it has been recorded at Happy Road studios in Finland with a crystal clear production and it have an mega-impressive artistic work on the cover design. "Planeteer" features their actual vocalist Jyri Aarniva and also, Jukka Hoffrén (Bride Adorned/Holochaust) on bass as a session musician. Their full-length album is scheduled to be released before the end of year 2001 which will be produced by Anssi Kippo and recorded at the famous Astia Studios (i.e Children Of Bodom, etc) in July, an art piece which will bring some new characterists to the Finnish Gothic Metal surely.

In March 2002 the band signed a record deal with Dutch label Hammerheart Records and changed their name to Divercia.
