Danijay was born in Genoa, Italy in 1977. After deejaying in clubs since 1994 and producing since 2003, he started his career as a dance artist with the single Il Gioco dell'Amore (The Game of Love). It was one of the best-selling Dance CD singles and vinyls of 2003 and was a TOP 10 General Sales hit. It reached the top spot on Italian and European Dance Radio Charts and remained on the Deejay Parade TOP 20 (Radio Deejay) for 3 months, peaking at #3. This song was also the most downloaded phone ring of 2003 on Nokia’s Official French Site. After breaking into the Dance music scene, Danijay released his second single, I Fiori di Lillà (The Lilac Flowers), that featured the famous Italian singersongwriter Alberto Fortis, and played on the popular TV quiz show Passa Parola (Canale 5). In 2004, his third single Luna Nera (Black Moon), reached #22 in the general Sales Chart. Say Me & Condition, both released in 2005, entered the top 10 Sales Chart of Italian megastores (Fnac, Ricordi, etc.) and were featured in various Eurodance compilations. Also in 2005, L'Impazienza (Impatience) represented Italy in the European Dance Contest where it placed 2nd. It was downloaded more than 700,000 times in one month and held the #1 spot on the most popular Italian Dance Radio Station, M2O. On January 20th, 2006, Danijay released his first album Dance & Breakfast, on the Universal label. His goal for the album was to reintroduce 100% made in Italy Italodance.
