How D.A.D. became D:A:D At the release of the Helpyourselfish album, the dots were exchanged for colons in D:A:D's name. The inspiration for the change came from a fan letter by three boys from the school on Amager, Copenhagen that Stig and Torleif attended growing up.
How D:A:D became D-A-D With the release of the album Everything Glows in April 2000, the observant fan has probably noticed that the band has once again changed their name. The old D:A:D was simply not internet friendly enough; the web address has been www.d-a-d.com since late summer 1997. Now the dashes has taken over in the design to eliminate any confusion there might have been.
