Clifford T. Ward was born in 1944. He was a high school teacher when he began recording. He quit teaching to concentrate on songwriting and recording.
In 1984, Ward was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1984. He recorded his fourth, and final, album in 1994. He died on December 18, 2001.
Ward's songs have been recorded by Ringo Starr , Art Garfunkel, and others.
