The CHILDERMAS was founded in october, 1993 by two formers Yar [vox/guitar, ex-United Power/Church Mould] and Leo [drums]. Sad [bass], Witcheslave [vox] and Roman [vox] are joined the band in 1994. First demo "Decomposition Art" was released in 1995 by Gothic Horde production and contained 4 tracks. It was a dark atmospheric metal in vein of My Dying Bride and Anathema. This album has a good reviews as in russian as in european metal press. After releasing the live video shoots on "Necrozoophilic #2" video compilation, band had a deal with Black Tears distribution [UK] for distro of CHILDERMAS second album "Fatalia" in UK and Europe. Then Roman and Witcheslave are left the band. Some time later two string players Arcthuro [lead-guitar, ex-Immurement] and Uliyana [violin] are joined the CHILDERMAS. Yar takin' a place at microphones.
A "Fatalia" was released in 1997 under the flag of Gothic Horde. Music on that album was more "gothic" and melodic but no less heavy. Beautiful and melancholic violin with female voice [Sweetlana] create a good backgroud for mighty guitar riffs and blastbeating drums. Some russian metal editions named "Fatalia" the best doom/gothic metal album of the year in Russia. Also european/world metal press mark this album as "good". But after some gigs in 1999 Leo, Sad and Uliyana are taking apart. The rest of the band, Yar and Archturo, takes a long time for creating the new album. "Argotique" [2002] was recorded during two years. In recording process also taking part two newcoming members Wlad [guitar/sample-programming, ex-Siver] and Crimson Anthony [bass, ex-Siver]. For some vocal parts was offered special guest Alexx W. Crow [Siver]. But when the recording was finished this staff was disbanded by Yar in early 2003, 'cause all band members [except Yar] starting own project. But Yar gather new crew. First of all Leo re-join the CHILDERMAS. Then Tearell [keys] and Goratio [bass] are joined the band. Also Loki [lead-guitar, ex-Christember] was invited for better guitar performances. That crew made some songs for 4th studio album. Then, in the beginning of 2004 Leo and Loki are left the band, 'cause they're not supported a general music line of the band. Hitch [drums] becomes a new band member. In february, 2004 "Argotique" was released by CD-Maximum
