Broken Society

Gregg - Guitar, Bass, Vocals Aaron - Guitar, Vocals Andy - Drums, Vocals

Broken Society officially started just before the summer of 1999. Andy and I had been jamming for a few months while my old band, Think For Yourself was deteriorating for several reasons (mostly due to the fact that my other good friend Andy C. who played bass for TFY was moving away and that we SUCKED!!). So, I met up with Andy through a mutual friend and I played guitar while he played drums, and the other Andy was still going to be around for a little while so he filled in for us. What happened before we met Aaron was complicated, but put simply I played guitar and sang while Andy the drummer got better and better (Andy was initially a saxophone/guitar player and was only a part time drummer).

With Andy C. on bass, we played two shows and called ourselves Broken Society (based on a song I wrote that fit so well - now known as the theme song). Anyway, we had so much trouble finding a decent bass player, that I said fuck it and decided to play bass myself while we found a guitar player. After a quick search to find a guitar player who would fit well with us, we found Aaron. In Sacramento, we were the first punk band to play the Cafe Colonial with a small but united group of local and touring bands until it closed in 2001. As of 2002, David plays bass for us and I'm back to guitar/vox along with Aaron. We have been playing shows nonstop since we started and hope to keep the scene alive in any way we can!!!
