Blood Duster

Tony Forde (vocals); Jason PC (bass); Matt C (guitar); Matt Rizzo (drums); JJ LaWhore (guitar)

With their patented 100% grinding death rock style and self-deprecating humour, Blood Duster are the absolute kings of perverted pornogrind. Wading kneedeep through menstrual blood, these sickos have attracted a worldwide following for their melding of noise, grind, death, groove and seriously depraved lyrical content. Blood Duster introduced the world to their tales of cannibalism, necrophilia, necrophagia and other tastefully tasteless illness through the eloquently titled Fisting The Dead back in 1994, recorded with Shane Rout on drums and Brad Johnson on guitar. Rout soon left and formed Abyssic Hate. A self-financed national tour with Brutal Truth was followed by the introduction of guitarist Finn Alman and drummer Matt Rizzo into the line-up for the equally disgusting 'Yeest' mini-CD and its typical confronting artwork. Since then tha Duster have become nothing short of legendary, not only for the chaotic bursts of grind and blasting death rock which Str8outtanorthcote illustrates so well but also for their laconic stage performances. In 1998 Blood Duster toured nationally with Brutal Truth once again and a live album was recorded which was to be released sometime in 2000. Rizzo's eventual replacement Euan Heriot left Blood Duster in June 1999 and Rout re-joined, although his stay was spectacularly brief and Rizzo came back to the fold in time for Metal for the Brain. In April 2000, Alman left Blood Duster and was replaced by Matt Collins. Their proposed live album was canned in favour of a new album of more recent material that with typical Blood Duster bluntness is entitled Cunt. JJ LaWhore (Josh Nixon from Pod People) joined the band as second guitarist just after the album was released. Blood Duster was to head to the US for touring in August of 2001 but the deal fell through and the band started working on a new collection of obscenities while Jason PC was in Europe with Dern Rutlidge. In late 2001 the band featured on a national tour by The Dwarves; in 2002 the band featured on the HIgh Voltage touring mini-festival and issued D.F.F., one song of which featured on a TV commercial, of all things. Blood Duster is set to begin 2003 with a national tour with The Haunted in March.
