Billy Ray defends daughter Miley
Billy Ray Cyrus says Miley's happiness is "all I ever wanted".
Miley was invited on America's Today show Monday morning where she shared her five-year plan to host Matt Lauer: "My plan is focusing on right now and continuing what I'm doing because I'm the happiest I've ever been in my whole life. So I'm really happy to be here."
Her country music dad tweeted his support.
"Wanna know how I feel as a Father? Just heard my daughter say @MileyCyrus 'I'm the happiest I've ever been in my whole life'. All I ever wanted," he wrote (sic).
Miley also mentioned her parents Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus during the interview and said that they have always supported her even after her controversial performances. "For me, my parents have always just been about being really who you are and figuring that out," Miley explained. "And what's good about that is I trust them a lot. I can go to them with pretty much anything."
Miley also insisted said that she trusts in her parents and that’s what enables her to share what she's feeling without fearing judgment. Also she's never been afraid to talk to the pair no matter what's happening in her life. "There's been a lot of kids who have to hide things from their parents that I don't have too because my parents are just accepting and that's what real love is," she said.
