Anthony Callea was the runner up of Australian Idol 2.
The Melbourne born entertainer woed Australian audience through his idol journey. However, his rendition of Andrea Bocelli 'The Prayer" which really turned their attention. To his devoted fans this only cemented what they already knew.
His single "The Prayer" was released prior to Christmas '04 and went straigh to #1 where it sat for a period of 5 weeks. It still resides on the top 20 chart today.
