Amazing Transparent Man

Straight out of DeKalb, Illinois - Amazing Transparent Man (or ATM for short) have been winning over crowds across the country with their incredibly entertaining live show and ultra-catchy pop-punk music since their start in early 1997. With a perfect blend of great music and crazy stage antics, seeing then play live is a major treat. ATM's second full length CD entitled The Measure of All Things (5/2000, Springman Records) was recorded at Sonic Iguana Studios with Mass Giorgini (of Screeching Weasel, The Queers, Teen Idols, and Green Day fame) and is absolutely incredible. Described as Chixdigit meets The Ataris, after just one listen these songs become stuck in one's mind for months leaving them unable to stop listening to them over and over again, and trust me, this is a good thing. Shying away from the traditional punk garb, this three-piece has been known to wear pink to their shows. As explained by Rick, "We hate that whole punk rock image of being tough and mean. We like to counter that by wearing Pink. We aren't bad asses and we have no problem letting other people know."
