Yo La Tengo do a rendition of The Cure's 1992 'Friday I'm In Love'
Metador Records just shared Yo La Tengo's newest video, a rendition of The Cure's 'Friday I'm In Love'. We cannot find the voice better than the original, but the guitars are really insane, and let's not forget about the video. Directed by Jason Woliner, this picture is a masterpiece. I won't spoil anything for you guys, but it's one of those short flicks that could revolutionize, if movie directors would stretch their heads toward music videos.
The song is off a new album that's coming soon, and we have strong beliefs that it's going to be a straight up cover album.
