Velvet Revolver reveal Slipknot unreleased album

Velvet Revolver reveal Slipknot unreleased albumAfter much speculation, Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum admits they record an album's worth of material with Slipknot's Corey Taylor.

Taylor has been keeping mum about the possibility of him replacing Scott Weiland in the rock supergroup.

Sorum told Blabbermouth that it was his idea to get Corey Taylor in.

Sorum admits, ' said, 'Why don't we get Corey Taylor from Slipknot?' And he's a great guy, number one - he's an absolute sweetheart - and he rocks. [But] Slash just didn't see it like the rest of us did. We liked it. We had ten songs. [We] could put the album out tomorrow. It's done. I said, 'Let's go.' But Slash wasn't feeling it. If we're not all feeling it together, we can't do it.'

So that's done and dusted. There's a Taylor-fronted album ready which will never be heard, because Slash wasn't into it.

Blabbermouth points out that Slash recently said in an interview "It just didn't seem to fit right to me. And he's great, and I love Corey, but it didn't seem like the answer to the Velvet Revolver problem."
