The Professional Americans

The Professional Americans - Placebo lyrics

rate me

Meaning: "Placebo" was written during a time that I just didn't feel like the person everyone thought I was, yet I felt like I was still portraying to others the person they thought I was. Does this make sense? They were given the placebo, instead of the real pill. Make any more sense? They were given the fake me instead of the real me. Ahh yes, now I understand. This whole period of my life was just filled with apathy. Things had happened to me spiritually that had hurt me. All is well now. It was a growing period for me. Something that I needed to go through to make me into what I am today, or need to be tomorrow. Lyrics: I've been down on myself I've been dissension of help I've been a glimmer opaque I've been... I've been down on myself I've been in the clinic with dimes I've been religion repose I've been...I suppose Reject my eyes, I thought I knew them All this time, They've been true With their lies, I thought I knew them All this time I live, I try I live, I die Reject my eyes, I thought I knew them All this time, They've been true All this time...
