“Barefoot and Pregnant”, New Album from The Dollyrots
The pop punk band just released their fifth album and they did it solely with the help of their fans. Again.
Their last record, self-titled, was funded by fans through the Kickstarter campaign. Now, the band used Pledge Music, a site that doesn’t give up until the albums make it out, at least in digital form. In exchange, The Dollyrots gave fans regular updates, unreleased tracks and other small tokens of appreciation for people who supported their new musical project. And they did all that plus some recording while their singer and bassist was pregnant and then gave birth to her first child (with guitarist Luis Cabezas). Impressive. “Barefoot and Pregnant” has 13 catchy pop punk tracks.
Especially “Puppy Dog Eyes”, with a chorus that you won’t stop singing for days. You can get a taste of their sense of humor in “First World Anarchist” and they end the album with a medley of “Da Doo Ron Ron” from The Crystals and “I Wanna Be Sedated” by The Ramones.
Catchy, fast beat, fun pop punk for you to enjoy!
