During the MTV Video Music Award acceptance speech that Taylor gave in 2009, Kanye West stormed the stage, snatched the microphone from Taylor and stated that Beyoncé Knowles should have accepted the Best Female Video award for her smash hit, “Single Ladies”.

Although the rapper apologized for his behavior, the 23-year-old country music darling hasn’t forgotten the incident. She recently had a laugh at Kanye West's expense, which her pal Ed Sheeran made sure to share.

Taylor wrote her own version of West’s speech on a label for some homemade jam, which she gave to her 22-year-old touring partner, Ed. The label stated: “Yo Ed - I'm really happy 4 you and I'm gonna let u finish but this is the best JAM OF ALL TIME. - T."

Sheeran posted a photograph of the jar on his Instagram page, adding the message: "Taylor made me some jam. Amazing.

It is not clear whether Ed Sheeran and the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer have been having a jam-making contest, or whether she was referring to a musical jam session.

It is not the first time that Swift has made fun of West's on-stage interruption. Last month, after being nominated for two VMAs awards she tweeted:

"If you vote and get us one, I promise to keep a firmer grip on the mic this time ;)"
