Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and One Direction won at 2012 Teen Choice Awards

Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and One Direction won at 2012 Teen Choice Awards Country cutie Taylor Swift took home five prizes at this year's Teen Choice Awards, including the choice for Choice Music Female Artist and Choice Female Country Artist. She picked up as well the prize as voice actress for her role in animated comedy The Lorax. She said: "I just feel so honoured that I get to have you guys in my life."

The Sunday night ceremony, July 22continued its tradition to celebrate the hottest icons in TV, movie, music and other pop cultures by honoring Justin Bieber, One Direction and Carly Rae Jepsen, amongst others.

Bieber took home four Surfboards including Choice Male Artist. He went up against Drake, Bruno Mars, Pitbull, and Blake Shelton for the award. He also performed his latest single, "As Long As You Love Me" with Big Sean during the program. Bieber's girlfriend, Selena Gomez, accepted an award for Choice Music Group on behalf of her band Selena Gomez and The Scene. Aside from the Surfboard, the young singer-actress got a cake since she celebrated her 20th birthday that day.

British boyband One Direction bagged some awards as well. Their prizes included Choice Love Song and Choice Music: Breakout Group. The Choice Breakout Artist award for soloist, meanwhile, went to Canadian rising star Carly Rae Jepsen.

This year's Teen Choice Awards was hosted by "The X-Factor (US)" judge Demi Lovato and "Glee" star Kevin McHale. The long list of award presenters includes Jason Derulo, Victoria Justice, Lucy Hale, Dax Shepard and several more celebrities. The night also featured music by Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida, No Doubt and DJ Pauly D.

In Movie category, Twilight picked up the ultimate choice award, the Teen Choice version of a lifetime achievement award. The vampire film franchise has now won 41 surfboard-shaped trophies since 2008. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner were there to pick up their latest Teen Choice Awards.

"This award especially is an extreme honour," said Taylor Lautner. "It's amazing you guys are still around and just as strong and just as loyal. It's a true testament to all the support you've given us over the years." Demi Lovato said 134 million votes were cast for the 14th annual awards.

While Justin took the stage to perform "As Long As You Love Me", No Doubt performed their brand new single "Settle Down".
