Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert among winners at ACM Awards, April 1st While Taylor Swift received the Big Help Award one night before at the Nickelodeon's KCA, on Sunday night, April 1st the country cutie was given Entertainer of the Year Award at the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards. During her acceptance speech, Swift took time to give a shout-out to her cancer-stricken fan who's supposed to be her date but was unable to attend the ACM Awards due to his hospitalization.

Before the show, she also tweeted, "Just talked to Kevin McGuire. He's not well enough to join me at the ACMs. Please keep him in your thoughts. I'll make it up to you, Kevin!""My date tonight was supposed to be a high school football player named Kevin McGuire and he's not here, but I promised I'd give him a shout out," Swift said onstage while received her prize from Lionel Richie. "Kevin and all your family and all your friends, thank you for wanting to take me to the ACMs."

Hosted by Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the winners' list was dominated by Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert. Jason received Single Record of the Year, due to his collaboration with Kelly Clarkson "Don't You Wanna Stay", collaboration which also was awarded as Vocal Event of the Year. Miranda took home two prizes as she got Album of the Year for her latest studio effort Four the Record, and was crowned Female Vocalist of the Year.

Blake Shelton was given Male Vocalist of the Year, and Taylor Swift handed him the award. Eli Young Band got Song of the Year prize thanks to their "Crazy Girl" hi single. They received the award from "2 Broke Girls" star Beth Behrs. "I have dreamed about this my whole life," Eli said upon collecting the trophy onstage. Amongst performers of the night were Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Lionel Richie, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Chris Young, Brad Paisley and Zac Brown Band, Luke Bryan, Toby Keith, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, The Band Perry, Rascall Flatts with Steve Martin, and others.
