It s Boston Vs. Everybody, people! Statik Selektah gathers round 13 of the realestThis is not your picturesque, Hollywoodian rap dream team. In every art zone there will be a major scene - official, acclaimed, undisputed, and a minor scene - a raging voice of the underground, a side-show that can, at its best, overcome the official art manifestation. Me, myself, am a minor art devouter. There is something in the relative, simple truth of the minor scene artists that reaches out to me, something humble and down to earth in that 'we don't claim victory' anthem. They accept ruling the underground, and believe that equal parties will follow up on their art, as they would the major scene artists.

Thus, major scene artists like the Eminem, Royce da 5'9", Big Sean, Danny Brown, Dej Loaf and Trick Trick have made their point on 'Detroit Vs. Everybody'. It was an all judge plea for rap, art, intelligence, thorough endeavors. Us, the jury, the listeners, loved it.

Now it's time for the lesser sparkling artists on the scene to make their move. Masspike Miles, Termanology, Reks, Ea$y Money, JFK, Smoke Bulga, Chilla Jones, Dutch Rebelle, MillyZ, Slaine, Sammy Adams, Esoteric and Edo G, all united by STATIK SELEKTAH and a mutual home city, ergo mutual affiliations, musical, intelectual, same colors, and the list can go on.

Most of these artists you know. Honestly, I can't find any flaw in this freestyle. Be the jury for these artists just like you were for the Eminem crew, and pick sides. The industry needs our criticism.
