Soundgarden debuts new music in 13 years Live To Rise for The Avengers Soundtrack Soundgarden have debuted their first new song for over 15 years, which is titled "Live To Rise" which serves as a soundtrack for the upcoming Hollywood action film "The Avengers". Premiered during an interview with the BJ Shea Morning Experience on Seattle radio station KISW (http://www.kisw.com/pages/12721576.php) by the singer Chris Cornell, which said that it is a track written specially for The Avengers movie.

"The Avengers Soundtrack" also features Kasabian, Rise Against, Bush, Black Veil Brides, Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch and Evanescence. For a hard rock song, "Live to Rise" has a beguilingly catchy refrain, and also features the nimble drumming characteristic of the band's long-time percussionist Matt Cameron. Wonder if this style is also included on their upcoming new album, which Cornell said it is nearly completed. Reuinited in 2010 after 13-year hiatus, Soundgarden are currently putting the finishing touches to their sixth studio album, which will be their first new record since 1996's 'Down On The Upside'. Meanwhile, the band will come to the UK this summer to headline Hard Rock Calling festival in London. Soundgarden, who will also perform at this summer's Download Festival, join Bruce Springsteen and Paul Simon in headlining the event.

The Avengers will be released in the UK under the title of Marvel Avengers Assembleon April 26. It will be released in the US simply as The Avengers.
