Josh Dolgin, the man behind it all, is a multilateral artist, singing the piano and the accordion, rapping, producing albums, promoting them, and so on. Did I mention he's part Canadian, part Ukrainian, part Romanian and part Russian? That's a whole lotta Balkan blood in him!

DIY literally means do it yourself, and refers to those artists that carefully evade record companies, thinking they can create a better understanding with the people by educating them and singing what they really need to hear, the good stuff, instead of devising some ingenious marketing scheme that introduces an intruder in your ears and mind, someone you like, but don't really know why, someone that sounds good but doesn't really say much, and so on. Of course it's debatable, not all record labels do that, buuut, most of them really invest time into studying what the majority public is a sucker for and willfully introduces those themes and motifs into the artists' songs. Hehe
