Skizzy Mars

Skizzy Mars will blow you way UP to mars with his new song: Time

Skizzy Mars will blow you way UP to mars with his new song: TimeAsking if he's consistent at the beginning of each verse. Our guess is that he is, with collabs like G-Eazy and Olivver the Kid, he sure is. A shrill pick on the guitar there, something that really melts time and leaves it dripping it's seconds slowly, like on a warm summer day at the beach.

The main theme of the song is the way time always shifts from one priority to another when a star. People feel the disturbance in time, either the artist is too in touch with the fam and is missing booth time, or he's too out there touring and he forgets to do so much as text his friends. An artist's life always presents such fissures, that's why most of 'em chose whether it's a career or a simple man's life they want.

It seems to me that Skizzy chose a career (we can see him climb that ladder real fast), but he's trying to please his close ones too. With songs like these staring down their way, who can be upset?

There are some tips as to how to handle time: no shortcuts, let time unveil, let time slip and do its wonders, says G-Eazy. 'Patience is a key', goes Skizzy in the first verse. 'Keep smokin’, keep motion / Take breaks, but not yet, don't take it outta context', goes Olivver's advice in the last verse. Of course, you can find many such useful phrases, as the guys, and I quote again, 'still spit the truth for you to listen', but the main plus is the vibe. It's something indelible, something that makes you hum the song during a business meeting, knowing that you're gonna get kicked out. That's what I call a masterpiece. Give it a fun listen. I won't disappoint!
