Said The Whale

Said The Whale - New Brighton lyrics

rate me

It’s where we swam to, when I was younger

I remember how you held me under

I was brand new being underwater

But I’m stronger now, that I’m a father

I got worries now, weight on my shoulders

About the future and how we're getting older

And it’s fine now seeing you for hours

In that silly frown

It doesn’t suit you

And I be kinda thinking about the simple life

How I wanna leave it

And I be kinda thinking about the real world

With you, I wouldn’t do it

I, I,

It was a bad idea, bring them here

Cause they got shifty eyes

Always seems paradise

But we got a hold here what I would for and

It’s all there that I made it out to there

The facts and figures 'bout the atmosphere

how I could affect it

And I be kinda thinking about the simple life

How I wanna leave it

And I be kinda thinking about the real world

With you, I wouldn’t do it

I, I,

With battle we fought up the villain

Cause us to retreat 300 miles

To the safety of our New Brighton

Where we treat our injured squires

And with the front lines crossed

We slowly reveal those secrets at all

We’re just lonely boys with our submarine toys

And I be kinda thinking about the simple life

How I wanna leave it

And I be kinda thinking about the real world

With you, I wouldn’t do it

I, I.

The amazing Vancouver pop band prepared a new album "New Brighton" which includes the single with the same title. The single is very optimistic, as the band's frontman Tyler Bancroft sings about a simple life with his love , in the town of New Brighton . Album due release November 8th.
