Ro Ransom's Don Filippelli Manifesto
Major, Le$, Raekwon, Jahlil Beats, Soulja Boy and Chief Keef. These artists, big, although not of the same caliber, all launched their albums around Halloween, and around the same time Ro Ransom dropped his much advertised, much expected Ro Ransom Is The Future. A vortex of attention was created, dissipating many of the listener's eyes in multiple directions. The proper propaganda was done, but the effect wasn't the one anticipated.
Lemme allude you to a song off of this new Brandun DeShay album, a song called Turn The Lights Off. It's something a little bit different, something I believe was never done this way. Unique rhymes, sounds that bring you to the hemispheric gyrus, sink you between sleep and consciousness. I can guarantee you some reencoding will take place in your hippocampus after this. I've transcribed the bridge from the song, the one I feel is most important. I've improperly dubbed it the Don Filippelli Manifesto. You'll see why:
"...and don fili-muthafuckin'-ppelli Fully automatic clip's goin' through yo muthafuckin' belly Ro Ransom and Jay X, nigga, we the new Mic and QUincey You gotta get Nevaland if you wanna come get me Real niggas fuck with it, and I don't give a fuck Who don't. Ro Ransom Is The Future I'm on a planet by myself and I hope you niggas got rocket ships We make classics, we don't do politics You rap niggas copy styles and gobble dick Try to eat off of my plate and you will face the consequences Up in West Side we ride The world can neva understand how I feel inside I am LEGEND, even if I face death, the game is still behind me So can nothin' surprise me I'm like you niggas times three Turn The Lights Off Turn The Muthafuckin' Lights Off Turn The Lights Off"
