Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good

His loving kindness is forever

He sets the needy securely on high

He sets the needy securely on high Away from affliction

They wandered in the wilderness in a desert region

They did not find a way to an inhabited city

They were hungry and thirsty

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble

Some sat in darkness

Being bound with affliction and chains

For they rebelled against the word of God

They stumbled and fell

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble

Fools, in their rebellious ways

Because of their iniquities were afflicted

They abhorred all kinds of food

As they drew near to the gates of death

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble

Give us aid against the enemy Psalms 108:12-13

For the help of man is worthless

With God we will gain the victory

And He will trample down our enemies
