Regina Spektor

Regina Spektor - Don't Leave Me (Ne Me Quitter Pas) lyrics

rate me

[Verse 1:]

Down in Paris they lose their ballas and their lipdamales in the night

And stumbling through the street they say, Sir do you got a light in it?

And if you do then you're my friend

And if you don't then you're my foe

And if you are a diety of any sort then please don't go.

[Hook:]

Ne Me Quitte Pas mon cher

Ne Me Quitte Pas ah ah ah

Ne Me Quitte Pas mon cher

Ne Me Quitte Pas

[Verse 2:]

Down on Lexington they're waiting you should stuck to aging feet

And close their eyes and open

And recognize the aging street.

And think about the things we're right

When they were young and veins were tight

And if you are the ghost of Christmas past

Then won't you stay the night.

[Hook:]

Ne Me quitte Pas mon cher

Ne Me quitte Pas ah ah ah

Ne Me quitte Pas mon cher

Ne Me quitte Pas ooh ooh ooh

Ne Me quitte Pas mon cher

Ne Me quitte Pas ah ah ah

Ne Me quitte Pas mon cher

Ne Me quitte Pas.

[Break]

[Verse 3:]

Down in Bronxy Bronx the kids go sledding

Down snow covered slopes and frozen noses, frozen toes

And the frozen city starts to glow.

And yes they know it will pass

And yes they know New York will thaw

But if you're a friend of any sort

Then play along and catch a cold.

[Hook:]

Ne Me quitte Pas mon cher

Ne Me quitte Pas ah ah ah

Ne Me quitte Pas mon cher

Ne Me quitte Pas ooh ooh ooh

Ne Me quitte Pas mon cher

Ne Me quitte Pas ah ah ah

Ne Me quitte Pas mon cher

Ne Me quitte Pas.

[Outro:]

I love Paris in the rain, I love Paris in the rain

I love I love in the rain O-oh

I love Paris in the rain, I love Paris in the rain

I Love I love in the rain O-oh

I love I love in the rain O-oh

I love I love in the rain O-oh

Oh oh oh (tam ta-tam) X3

Regina Spektor will launch her latest album on 29 May, the first after a break of four years, "What We Saw From the Cheap Seats". The material will also contain a new version of the song "Me Quitte Pas", cover of Jacques Brel, a song that Regina recorded once more for the album "Songs" of 2002.
